Water-cooled LED fixtures on Dutch televion at 'Reizen Waes'

In the TV show 'Reizen Waes', reporter Tom Waes travels through various provinces in the Netherlands. During this trip he visits the 'greenhouse of the future' of Koppert Cress.
 

Stijn Baan explains how LED light gives them more control over the growth of their cresses and the influence of blue and red light on the crop. He also explains how the water cooling technology contributes to their goal to create a CO2-neutral greenhouse.

The heat from the LED lighting is extracted by the water cooling system and stored 180 meters underground. Koppert Cress uses reuses this heat to heat up their greenhouses during the winter.
