Oreon renews Membership of WUR Club of 100

Oreon recently announced its intention to extend its membership of the Club of 100 during a positive meeting with Jan Willem de Vries and Jacqueline van Oosten of Wageningen University & Research (WUR).

Membership of the WUR Club of 100 gives greenhouse horticulture suppliers direct access to the broad expertise offered by the business unit Greenhouse Horticulture at Wageningen University & Research.

In return, suppliers help finance applied strategic research in the Netherlands. Members of the Club of 100 also share a collective responsibility to maintain the industry's knowledge infrastructure and work together to implement innovation-driven research and precompetitive projects.

Oreon has been a member of this important network for the greenhouse horticulture sector since its inception. The company sees its membership as an opportunity to endorse WUR as an internationally renowned knowledge institute and to contribute to innovation and knowledge-building initiatives through strategic projects and trials. This type of engagement is a given for international companies such as Oreon. Combining the forces of education and business plays a significant role in the future development, growth and sustainability of greenhouse horticulture.

By renewing its membership, Oreon has secured its place among this large group of industry players in the greenhouse horticulture sector for the next two years.
