Expansion R&D team with Neetu and Guido
Oreon's R&D department has welcomed two new colleagues. Neetu Kumari started as project manager on January 3rd and Guido Dirkx is going to strengthening the team in the role of Sr. Product Development Engineer.
I have always been passionate about research. That's how I landed up doing a Ph.D. in the field of Mechatronics and Micromachines and enlisted in the European Program Marie Skłodowska-Curie (ITN – ENHANCE). My background concerns experimental physics and energy harvesting from renewable sources. Previous experiences focused on the conversion of mechanical energy into electrical energy by means of piezoelectricity and pyroelectricity for energy harvesting purposes.
I will be joining the R&D team as a Project Manager, where I will be involved in the planning and execution phase of all the R&D projects. Simultaneously monitoring the progress and issues on a day-to-day basis. I’m looking forward to contributing to the company's continued growth and development and to join the enterprising team at Oreon. Happy to be a part of the Oreon Family!
Neetu did her Ph.D. in 2021 from University of Bourgogne France Comte Besancon France, where she was working on green energy harvesting systems. Aside from her interest in research she likes spending time in sports like Hockey and badminton. You can contact Neetu via firstname.lastname@example.org. Welcome Neetu!
Ever since I was a child I’ve always had an interest in science, construction (who hasn’t played with Lego!) but also in the more artistical side of things. Thus, studying Industrial Design Engineering at TU Delft was nothing more than a logical decision. From my graduation onward I’ve been working as a product designer, mainly in the field of consumer building products for DIY and professional markets. For me the biggest reward in this line of work is seeing your idea come to life and successfully fulfill its purpose for both the end user and all other stakeholders.
After having developed many different products, for well-known brands such as Bruynzeel, the time has come for a change. I’m looking forward to a new challenge here at Oreon as Senior Product Development Engineer. The prospect of working together with a small team of dedicated and highly talented people, creating new and innovative products for a global market is quite appealing. More importantly, the fact that the water cooled LED lighting contributes to a more sustainable future and me being able to actively contribute to this cause is highly motivating!
Guido lives together with his wife Eva and kids Jori (7) and Lara (4) in the town of Woerden. Whenever he’s not working or being absorbed by ‘family business’ he likes riding his bike, listen to music and/or play his guitar or just enjoy and evening of Netflix. You can contact Guido via email@example.com. Welcome Guido!
