Dümmen Orange's renovated show greenhouse

Dümmen Orange is the world’s largest breeder of cut flowers, bulbs, tropical plants, pot plants, bedding plants and perennials. Its core business is breeding and developing flower and plant varieties with improved characteristics and producing cuttings and young plants.

For its show greenhouse in De Kwakel, Dümmen Orange opted for a hybrid lighting system with water-cooled LED fixtures from Oreon. The Dutch Powerhouse Empress will be installed in their rose and chrysanthemum show greenhouse. Customers can visit this by appointment to get an in-depth look at Dümmen Orange’s latest product range.

Koen Stigter, Global Product Manager at Dümmen Orange: "Our new show greenhouse is fully equipped with state-of-the-art horticultural technology. As a leading breeder we are constantly working on innovations and testing new varieties and growing techniques. Sustainability is a subject we always focus on, and Oreon’s water-cooled LED lighting is therefore a good fit. With LED lighting in our show greenhouse, we are giving our customers the opportunity to see this application in practice. It is also instructive for both Dümmen Orange and Oreon to be able to monitor the system in rose cultivation."

Sales Manager Peter Barentsen on this collaboration: "Dümmen Orange is a leading player in the international greenhouse horticulture industry. Thousands of growers visit their show greenhouses every year, so for Oreon this is a unique opportunity to introduce growers from all over the world to our fixtures and water cooling technology."

The Empress lights will be installed in the chrysanthemum and rose show greenhouse in the last quarter of this year.
